DTF Printer Frequently Asked Questions

Quick solutions & most common DTF setup / printing issues.


1. Banding / Lines in Print
  • Perform 1–2 nozzle checks
  • Run “Short Clean” only (3–5 seconds)
  • Do NOT run heavy cleaning cycles — this wastes white ink
  • Make sure film is matte side printed
  • Humidity must be between 45%–65%


2. White Ink Not Showing / Weak White
  • Shake white ink bottle before printing – every day
  • Run Ink/Clean button once to circulate
  • Check if white ink bottle is not low
  • Make sure white channel is enabled in RIP


3. Film Not Drying / Powder Not Melting Evenly
  • Increase oven temp slightly (normally 110–120°C)
  • Increase curing time 90–120 seconds
  • Do not over-powder – thin layer is enough
  • Store film in a dry room to avoid moisture


4. Color Looks Dull / Washed Out
  • Always print “Strong Color” / “Photo” mode for images
  • Reduce saturation -5% to -10% for photo images
  • Use ICC profile provided
  • Make sure film is fully dried before pressing


5. Preventive Maintenance (Critical)
  • Shake the white ink bottle every day before printing
  • Run 1 short clean before printing daily
  • Turn off white ink agitator only if >24 hrs not printing
  • Keep humidity 45%–65%


6. Consumables & Replacement Guide
  • Waste ink bottle must be emptied before 80% full
  • PET film should be handled with gloves
  • Pump & dampers: replace 3–6 months
  • Cap top is consumable – replace if seal weak
  • Only use DTF ink — Do NOT use DTG or Sublimation ink


7. Color Calibration & ICC
  • Use our ICC profile for correct colors
  • Use “Strong White” for dark garments
  • Reduce saturation slightly for photo images
  • Dry film fully to avoid muddy color


8. Warranty & Coverage (Quick Overview)
  • Electronics & mechanical components: 12 months from shipment
  • Printhead, capping station, wiper, inks, film, powder: consumables (not covered), except DOA within 7 days
  • Damage caused by incorrect operation / lack of daily maintenance is not covered
  • Extended warranty up to 24–36 months available upon request
